as i know these threads have been getting a bad rap latelybut there is one more that is needed...

Basically Adam Outler has agreed to help us with unlocking the bootloader and hopefully even carrier unlocking it
with his past work on the galaxy s3, galaxy camera, and numerout other devices he is the best fit for the task.. in my opinion

Keep in mind:
he doesnt have verizon nor does he plan on getting it he is just doing this to help us.. so we would need to donate to him to get him the phone (same way it was done on s3 we bought him the phone) after he is done and task is complete he expressed intrest in doing a contest on xda tv to give the phone aways(again he did this with s3)

Here's what He'd like to research:
1. Open-Source bootloader replacement
2. Dual-Boot from SD with Hardware modification
3. Possibly carrier unlock for use on AT&T and others

I don't have the phone yet but I'll be getting it around the first of the year. I appreciated Adam's work on the VZW S3 also.

I think he should raise whatever it takes so that he can just go down to the store right away and get this thing so as not to waste any time. Don't snail mail it. :)

i fully agree! i asked him what his tax rate is where he lives so i think itd be best to just get it to him asap.. instead of looking for deals n slowing everything down

I will donate at least $20 on Thursday, I just donated to Beans last Friday. I appreciated everything Adam did for us on the S3.... By the way has anyone reached out to I believe his name is "SockMonkey" and asked him to hook us up like he did with the S3?? JK... not really :)

I just did some Christmas shopping tonight. I'll have to check my bank account tomorrow morning and see how much damage I did then make a decision on how much I can donate.

    I will be doing a hangout livestream of the Unboxing, Teardown, and hardware hacking of the Verizon Galaxy Note 2 tonight at 7pm pacific 10pm eastern. I will answer some questions at the end. It may last 3-4 hours. I will be filming for XDATV, so expect my volume to be muted quite a bit.

    I haven't "ROMmed" since may of 2011... https://code.google.com/p/teamkomin/source/list


    I do small custom projects to my devices all the time though. I'll edit a system image or make a CWM to flash something.. I don't ROM in the traditional sense anymore but I do mod devices and I have my own deployment mechanisim which I call CASUAL. I'll make a CASUAL for this device which will require root, deploy tools and hopefully unlock the bootloader as well. CASUAL is designed for that sort of thing.
