Easy way to keep track of the styles/versions
Anything 1.** is going to be 6.1 based (page 1)
Anything with V* are the 6.5 styles (page 238)

Im liking how that is getting done over there and how its smoothing out and being less physical work to create/move/edit and more automated and hopefully safer customizations

does anyone know an easy way to customize a rom (take out certain apps that are installed etc)?
What I've found works is if you install the app from a cab then uninstall it. YMMV depending on the app of course.
To customize a ROM your going to have to fire up a kitchen and edit the installable items list
To removed Installed Items from a flashed ROM, then Sean.Thon has it right, BUT it has to be the same version or else youll end up with a double install (usually)
Other, more PITA way, find all the reg entries and delete them as long as they are not shared out and then drop the folder

Crap.
I had v6 on my phone for like a week or two,
started to get too anal in customizations,
so I decided to reflash to vin's rom,
but had some problems and definitely couldn't live without the lock feature,
so I reflashed back last night,
and stayed up all night recustomizing it,
and now I'm going to start it all over again!
woo!
I guess I'm going to not get any sleep tonight either.
hahaha.
But anyways,
I guess this is my long version of saying thank you nfsfan!!!

Are going to be your best bets - at least for starting off and being able to get some info and support (believe me YOU will be asking 1000 questions before you get too far and stable
(there IS a reason why I dont cook ROMs after all you know - you HAVE been warned)

Right, thanks Doug, I should have mentioned that it has to be the same version.
so theres no tool to just open up and look into NFSFANs rom and disable some apps that are installed?
Yeah, it takes a lot of knowledge to cook a decent ROM, I did my first attempt at a 6.5 ROM yesterday and it wouldn't even boot, got stuck on the HTC splash screen.
V7 installed, did the second hard reset, starting to play with it now.. seems like a great improvement..

Anyone else noticed that since around V14 or so, that the pictures that are taken with the default camera option (has the camera icon in top left corner) always end up blurry, regardless of lighting? I've got around it by using the "sports" option (has the running person icon in the top left corner)...unfortunately, I have to take 3pics at a minimum; but with this setting, they are clear. I know that the first thought is that my hands are shakey...but it never happened on earlier ROM versions, even back to the 6.1 versions. Thoughts? Am I the only one?1Hey all!
THIS MAY BE THE SOLUTION for those who are experiencing Internet connectivity problems since a couple of days with Bell (NFSFAN ROM).
YOU MAY NOT NEED TO REFLASH YOUR DEVICE or reinstall any Radio Versions or whatever.
JUST TRY THIS FIRST :
1. Go to Settings, Connections and click on Connections Icon
2. Click on "Manage existing connections"
3. Click on Edit... for the Bell Mobility connection
4. Click Next, Next and then Advanced button
5. Go to the "Servers" tab
6. Change this option : put it to "Use server-assigned addresses"
(You can note on a paper your DNS and Alt DNS numbers in case, cause it will be deleted after).
7. click ok. Click Finish.
8. Try to connect.
9. Surf the Internet !!!
10. Take a beer after so much energy finding this problem....
