[ROOT] Galaxy Chat Gt-B5330 [Tested] 2013]

Hello guys as you know there was another device by Samsung released a few months before (Actually in 2012 so its a year :p )


Many Dev's at Xda Tried to Root it , Androsamace was the person who even tried , even with the right tutorial he failed with a signature error :(
But we made it correct the actual problem was the firmware !

Thanks to uGeeky Team for there correction :good: Original Post​

Now Look at the Guide below and start rooting your Galaxy Chat :)​

Lets start :-
Flash the Poland Firmware before starting the process of rooting , Because galaxy Chat till now could only be rooted on This firmware ::::::
Link :- Poland Firmware

Instructions on how to Flash Poland Firmware :

  • Once You Downloaded the Poland Firmware from above link , Extract it on the Desktop
  • Download Odin from here. Link :- Odin
  • Then , Open Odin and click on PDA And select the file from Extracted Zip
  • Then click on start , wait for minutes.
  • Then , Enjoy You just flashed the Poland Firmware

Once done and booted U will now Root your device by following this :-

  1. Download Root Package and put it in Your External SD Card. Link:- Root package
  2. Download recovery.zip and PIT file and Extract it on Your Desktop Link:- Recovery.zip & PIT File
  3. Switch of your Device.
  4. Then , Go to Download Mode by pressing Volume UP and Power button together .
  5. Connect your pc with phone in download mode
  6. Then , Open Odin on Pc and Click on PDA and choose “recovery.tar.md5″ from exracted zip
  7. Click on Start , Wait for Few Minutes . Then reboot your phone
  8. After Rebooting , Turn of your phone
  9. Then , Go to Recovery Mode by pressing Volume Up and Power button together .
  10. Choose “apply update from sdcard”
  11. Choose “Galaxy_chat_Root.zip”
  12. Then After This , Reboot Phone
  13. VOILA , Your Phone is Rooted :cyclops:

it works for every rom except the perinstalled. btw i have root 3 differents rom they are Indonesian(XSE WALH3), EUR(XWALL2), and the last INU(WAMA1) till now.:p

i have my 2 galaxy chat.. i was able to root the first one on androsamace's method.. but the 2nd fail.. error verification failed.. until i tried to flash the recovery on this thread via odin... and do again the andromace's method.. and now it works..


edit: androsamace's have a recovery.tar too.. how did i not download that..?

looking on SamMobile,i found that there are 3 Poland firmware :
B5330XXUBMG1
B5330XXUBMF2
B5330XXUBME1
Can you please tell me wich one do I have to download to root my phone?
