It's hidden by default on aosp roms. To bring it back in about phone tap keep tapping the build version or kernel version I'm not sure which one. Tap it like 5 times then you will get a message saying you are now a developer

Odd, I've read many times about rotation issues. Mine seems to be working perfectly. My sound issues are a bit different as well. I have the same speaker phone low volume, but in call up to my ear is fine. If I sync to my car, I can get good Bluetooth music but horrible call quality. When I unsync, I have no ringtone or dialer sounds. I called my voicemail and hung up, all my sound was back. Strange deal

Shouldnt "do a data wipe/factory reset" come before you flash the rom and gapps? Wont that erase what just installed? Sorry if I'm way off base. That's how the s3 was which is why i ask

So I'm on the 28th nightly and have observed the following behavior (others may have mentioned)

1) Battery life seems worse with Android OS eating everything up and staying awake
2) GPS seems to be coming on and trying to get a lock at random times
3) Weird graphical errors like GPU artifacts
4) generally laggy and slow to respond
5)Had to pull the battery once so far
6) not sure why, because I didn't think this included modems, but my Wifi & LTE signals have become pretty bad

I should note I was coming from Beans v7, and I wiped/flashed without issue because I followed the steps. Still need to reformat my SD card though (which doesn't mount and format from the android OS).

high "Android OS" usage for me too. haven't tried using the app that disables the media scanner yet. Gonna give it a day or two first.

Everything but your #6 is correct. Explanation for #6:

You're most likely going by signal bars when you say your signal has become worse than it was on Jelly Beans, correct?

Ya see the bars actually mean nothing. Verizon tweaks the bars on their phones so that certain signal:noise ratios come out with higher bars than they do on other carriers/AOSP ROM's. If you go into Settings -> About Phone -> Status you'll see that your actual signal db is the same more-or-less as it was on Jelly Beans.

Don't go by the signal bars, ever. They're really meaningless.

But other than that and the battery pull yes I can say I've experienced all of those other things.

What app are you referring to? That has been my problem on all of the AOSP roms. Battery life has been downright awful! Cant even go 9-12 hours or get more than 30 min screen on time because the Android OS is using all the battery!

Re: [ROM][SCH-I605][JB][4.2.1] CyanogenMod 10.1 official nightlies

Is there anyway to change the time for screen on/off when pressing the power button. There is a slight lag that's not there on a stock rom.

    CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.2 (JB), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
    Code:
    #include
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
     *
     * Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading
     * cause of male impotence.
     */

    CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

    All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Progress is being made. My 10.2 builds are compiling OK now. I can flash and boot to the homescreen but anything I try to launch causes a soft reboot.
    Mine do the same and I have no cell signal. I think I messed up loading the props. Let me know if you make any progress or maybe slickrick will shine some light on the subject
    Pick these 4 commits and you should be good.

    Thank you sbrissen for developing for this awesome device and all of our donators who made it possible! None of this would have happened without you guys :)

    You will lose S Pen and other Touchwiz functionality if you flash this but here is how you can get some of that functionality back!
    1. S Pen works (try out the app Papyrus as a replacement to S Note, Papyrus does utilize the S Pen button as well).
    2. Air View works (Go to settings, Language & input, check "Show icon when using stylus".
    3. The S Pen button works (Go to settings, Language & input, Stylus gestures, those all use the s pen button).
    4. Pop up browser = OverSkreen from the Google Play Store.
    5. I use the 4.2 Camera on Touchwiz anyway. There are plenty of good camera apps in the market if you want more features.
    6. Multiwindow. There is no alternative, dont ask.
    And here's some alternatives to Touchwiz apps (PM me if you want me to add something!)
    Code:
    [URL="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.myboyfriendisageek.stickit"]Stick it! (Pop-up Player)[/URL]
    [URL="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.clov4r.android.nil&hl=en"]MoboPlayer[/URL]- It's another very capable, free video player with floating player functionality. Plus its free!

    DO NOT USE 20121011 GAPPS OR YOU WILL HAVE ISSUES, USE 20121212 GAPPS.

    If you want to downgrade back to a 4.1.x ROM, flash the restore-sdcard-after-downgrade.zip attached below AFTER flashing back to 4.1.x ROM. Your storage situation will be how it was pre-CM10.1 flash. Thanks to madmack for the file.

    alright, I'm good with the phone logs. I submitted a change for speaker phone and it got merged so tonight's should have MOAR VOLUMEZ on speaker.

    Still working on BT and gps.

    and still looking for logs of apps where the mic isn't working.

    I'll be starting a cm10.2 thread shortly. For anyone thinking of flashing back to 10.1, not going to happen unless you do a clean install so backup first! A couple databases were updated and cannot be reverted.
