Chrome works fine I have yet to get gmail to work though.

you should just be able to sideload those apks even without root or messing with the internal storage.

You can install both but gmail always force closes no matter what.

I found out that the custom lock screen is what was causing on screen navigation buttons to disappear. As far as I can tell it's any lock screen replacement that will cause the problem.

Try uninstalling gmail, then the lockscreen. The nav bar should still be there. I had a similar issue with an odd fix. It seems like most people agree on gmail notifications causing the issue....for some reason. I think somewhere in gmail you can disable notifications and that would work, but I remember having issues getting into gmail. I think re-installing gmail made it work, but I'm not positive. I'd prefer using a new lockscreen, and the browser for gmail though :P

Yeah I deleted the lock screen app I installed and just disabled ads so far I've never been able to get gmail to work at all.

I found another app to make our transformation a step closer to full ICS functionality! Adds back in multitasking similar to stock ICS not quite as pretty but it works.

cant seem too get a wallpaper set thru apex, ive tried zedge quickpic and ics wallpaper. none seem too work. once i crop it wont apply the image and if i try and set from within zedge that app closes. any ideas?[
