This ROM makes a great base for Telstra users. I'm thinking about de-sensing the apps as much as possible (without any major mods or themeing). Might build an updated version with whatever de-sense I can achieve and latest ElementalX kernel if anyone is interested.

Go for it :)

I hope people are interested - I would like to see how this goes. I just don't have much time to do this stuff.....

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This ROM runs great. If you want to build a ROM that has potential for problems, just check the Viper thread.

I hope you're prepared for alot of questions from alot of people. Good luck.;)

Yeah, I agree.
But I'm happy for people to play with it. Just don't expect me to support anything I didn't make :)

Gday guys,
Has anyone had an issue with their GPS being activated and draining battery under JB even though it shows as off under settings. GPS on is recorded in power history. Had this happen intermittently with this JB Rom and viperxl 3.1.0.
Cheers

For the curious, I found the issue to be HD widgets opening the GPS connection and leaving it open.

Here here! This ROM rocks. Much more smooth and responsive compared to viperxl.

Just flash with included kernel from a clean wipe. There are some issues with the new kernels.

I can verify too, I use the 3.17.841.2 stock kernel, if you have S-on then I would fastboot flash boot boot.img

for elementalx, fastboot flash boot boot.img (boot.img in boot folder), then install elementalx from recovery to make the selections you want

I went for the first option and now am fully booted up.

Thanks a million bro:laugh:

This Rom runs smoothly apart from battery drain.

Screen isn't listed in 'what uses the battery'

Yeah we know - they took it out in Jelly Bean.

GSam Battery monitor is what I use to check screen on time.

Feel free to use this but I accept no responsibility for the results - read up before you flash!

This is a collaboration between radavs and me and is primarily for Telstra users but can be modified for any carrier in build.prop.

I use this on a daily basis and have had no issues for a week solid.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All apps working - including video camera.

Removed some bloat (Telstra Navigator, Google plus, Polaris, pdf viewer)

English language only - other languages removed - they can be pulled from the original OTA zip (which can be found here on the forums) and added to the rom.zip before flashing.

There are no screen shots because we all know what a stock rom looks like......

    DOWNLOADS:

    Rom http://www.4sync.com/zip/_8CLQVVk/radavs-pablo11-TelstraJB-stock.html MD5 e49ec694f7d22bc37b851a2365f4dad4

Radio http://www.vangoogle.com.au/HTC_oneXL/EVITA_HTCTelstra_JB_Radio.zip - Thanks for the mirror vangoogle!

    Flashing Instructions:

1)Perform a backup and then a FULL wipe in TWRP and Flash the Telstra JB radio zip.

2)Flash the rom zip and boot up.

I use System Tuner to overclock and disable the power notification - have fun!

Thanks to radavs and the people mentioned here and the XDA community:good:
