i am not totally new to the flashing thing. i did plenty of it with my Infuse. never used TWRP though. i just havent rooted my Note yet and it is suggested with many ROMs to use TWRP.

so i know zips, i know TARs, however i have never done an ADB push.... why would everybody say that you are to flash TWRP in CWM which would overwrite CWM. i try and read plenty on here cause thats what you are supposed to do, and i have never heard of pushing anything.

is there not a flashable version for TWRP?

i am sure you know what you are doing, but i am not 100% on what you are talking about and honestly, you just created some unecessary confusion in someone who needs to feel confident in what i am doing. which i thought i was there until you gave your input. sorry.

not trying to offend you, you just didnt explain thoroughly to someone who admittingly may not have the biggest brainpan.

Re: [RECOVERY] TWRP2.4.1.0 TeamWin Recovery Project 2/2
Sorry. Yes you flash the Twrp2.4.1.0.zip file through clockwork mod which will replace clockworkmod. If you prefer to use Odin. Flash the tar file in PDA slot. I never really used adb push before but that's what the IMG. Files for. Just different methods of installing twrp. But yeah just download the zip file and flash like normal. Then your good to go. I used to have an Infuse too. I understand. Twrp rules here.

Download link. Newest update zip at the bottom.

i had a dilema to either post here or in the supid question forum, so i flipped a coin.

i hit the download on this link for TWRP and saved. looked at the title of the file and it said it was an "image"??? is that correct?

last thing i need is to pull a stupid and brick my Note in 14.2 seconds. i know stupid huh? stupid is as i do

Use Goo Manage app from the play store. Open the app, press menu, select " Install Open Recovery" follow the prompts, once it downloads it, and installed, select " Reboot to Recovery". That's the safest way.

What happens when you try to rename the backup under the backup or restore page?

battery charge in the latest twrp2 is insane fastcharge *atleast on my 2.57 pa rom, dont know about other roms though.

i was in recovery all of 10 minutes doing a flash then restore, went in at 19% and rebooted after restore at 58% *10 minutes!*

i know when i need a lot of battery fast ill just throw it in recovery and charge it for a bit
