Android Tuner will allow you to disable the cores. The snapdragon processors are the only ones that allow it, I think. Just a tid bit of info. Anyway, you can hit the arrow on the left side of the governor and it drops CPU 1-3 down. They'll either be free or online, and you can tap them to be offline which disables them. As far as I know, Android Tuner doesn't have the ability to set application profiles. You can also adjust individual frequencies of each core. The phone runs pretty smoothly with 1 CPU @ 1Ghz and ondemand. Haven't tried with the new kernel and conservative governor.
I've been using it because I can't get SetCPU to see or set voltages. Dunno what's up.
I'll try setting with SetCPU and not worrying about the cores. I know you posted about 36 hours and 6 hours of screen time, so you're doing something right, lol.
