Sorry to bring this up in a dev thread: I've been having a lot of trouble with the native email app in this ROM. Basically, it will sync with my accounts for a day but then the app will stop updating. I've tried removing and adding the accounts, same result. Any suggestions? Also, does Gingerbread's media scanner normally go on so long after boot up or after any little change to a file? I can't remember! I do know that it does not in JB!

This is a very nice ROM overall, I should add. Makes going back to GB from JB a little less difficult!

Ok, on the email go into settings/apps/all then click on email and clear data and cache, then reboot into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik and reboot and see if that does it. If not let us know and I'll see if I can find a different email.apk for you. Or you can pull one from another ROM and drop it into system/app.

Media scanning on GB is slower than ICS or JB. It also depends on how many files being scanned. If you've got a bunch of music, pics (or in my case ROM or theme zips lol) it will definitely take longer.

Thanks! I cleared and wiped as you suggested yesterday and it's been pretty smooth sailing since. I'll get back to you if I encounter the same problem. I appreciate the help!

Yeah, media scanning is driving me insane! I suppose I do have a bunch of music and roms and pictures.

whats the difference between zen's core a and core b and b14 from the toolkit? what else if anything changes after flashing? and will anything thats already working be disabled?

also...how can i uninstall apps intergrated w/in the rom? i tried by extracting rom...deleting inwanted app...then compressing again and flashing but this didnt. sorry if its a dumb question but i dont usually adjust roms i have b/c i dont know how, but there is a lot of apps that i dont use ill like to free up....
