I use BL Kernel 3 CWM6 version with this ROM and I have not yet met any sort of random reboots or SOD. So it's irrelevant to put all blame on Kernel IMO

This is the procedure I followed:

1) Make a clean flash of version 1.0 & reboot.

2) After finishing first boot and initial setup procedure, wait for 5 minutes.

3) Switch off and boot to recovery.

4) Flash BL Kernel..

5) Reboot and wait for 5 minutes

6) Switch off and boot to reovery

7) Flash 1.2 update

8) Clear Cache.

9) Fix Permissions.

Could anyone give me the link to the temporary CWM I could use to flash the ROM? The old CWM gives me bootloops and I don't want to increase my binary counter.

Thats what i did basically. Only difference was that i used the phone with 1.0 for about a day then flashed kernel waited more than 5 and then flashed 1.2.
Also after 1.2 flash i cleared battery stats + Cache+Dalvik. Could it be because i cleared battery stats?

Haven't had a SOD or reboot since about 12 hours ago, hopefully its gone.

Its not the Blazing Kernel , i had the SOD using the stock rom before flashing the blazing kernel and still after it though

I ticked the "disable hardware overlays" no SOD so far but i'm still testing it

I hope that the nightmare is over
