Last time I tried Navigon it needed data so i got rid of it. I have tried them all and IGO wins in the end for me. I'll have to try navigon again

Try navfree. You can download state maps and do offline route calculation.
No need for wifi or data signal.

Its free. So try it.
It has not let me down so far.. and i use it a lot.

NAV Free is the best for what I need. I travel into Canada and was able to download all of Canada (about 700MB for for the map)
