Default [GUIDE][3/11/13] ICS Lockscreen w or w/o Background Wallpaper
ICS Lockscreen Layout


Hi All,
Earlier I posted a MOD for ICS Lockscreen For All Custom Roms. And now I am making a guide for Rom Makers/Themers, who would like have ICS Lockscreen in their roms/themes with ICS Layout. The ICS Lockscreen works the best with Sliding Tab Lockscreen and you can't make it in stock rom. So, we are going to edit Sliding Tab Lockreen to make it look like ICS Lockscreen. I thank CoD for his rom from which I made the ICS Layout.


Features:
  • Clock At The Center
  • Date & Month Below Clock
  • Date & Month Center
  • Carrier Text At The Bottom
  • Smaller Carier Text
  • Other Notifications at The Middle
  • ICS themed png's



There are two themes for ICS lockscreen. They are :

1)Without Background (Transparent)




2) With Background (Background Wallpaper)

GUIDE :



i) ICS Lockscreen Without Background (Transparent)



1) In your rom, decompile the secondary framework. (i.e lidroid-res.apk, hyperion-res.apk, cod-res.apk)


2) Download Transparent_Ics_Lock.zip. Extract it and you will find keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml inside.

Navigate to res/layout/* and replace your keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml with mine.


3) Then, replace the png's inside drawable-ldpi and drawable-mdpi with the png's inside res.zip that I attached.


4) Now compile the apk.


5) Put in your rom and you will get ICS Lockscreen with all the features mentioned above...




ii) ICS Lockscreen With Background (Wallpaper)


1) In your rom, decompile the secondary framework. (i.e lidroid-res.apk, hyperion-res.apk, cod-res.apk)


2) Download Background_Ics_Lock.zip. Extract it and you will find keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml inside.

Navigate to res/layout/* and replace your keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml with mine.


3) Then, replace the png's inside drawable-ldpi and drawable-mdpi with the png's inside res.zip that I attached.


4) Name your desired png that you need as your Lockscreen Wallpaper as icslock.png and put it in res/drawable-hdpi/*

Note : Make sure that it is of resolution 240x320 and is renamed as icslock.png


5) Now compile the apk.


6) Put in your rom and you will get ICS Lockscreen with a custom Background Wallpaper with all the features mentioned above...
