You should ask a lawyers officd to send them a heads up about the european rooting law. That will frighten those bastard.
Also i think you should have waited until your phone had died or brought it back to stock just to be sure. If you want to get protected by law you need legal backup.
What you can do now is claim your money back with defence of the law and someone with legal knowledge.
Figure out your steps and play wise.
