for that you need to download 3 libraries from Buildroid and copy them into the system folder (so make sure you select to install the /system directory as read-write while installing Android-X86!):

Since the latest Android-X86 uses an ARM translator, not all ARM applications will work, for instance, Google Chrome won't work. Angry Birds (as well as Amazing Alex) on the other hand, worked in my test using a custom Android-X86 build in VirtualBox, though it was kind of slow (probably because of VirtualBox):

I'm sure there are readers who are wondering if Netflix works with this new Android-X86 release, but unfortunately I can't answer to this question because Netflix doesn't work in my country so if you try Netflix with Android-X86 4.0.4 RC2, let us know if it works in the comments!

you can download arm translater from here

3.To install the ISO either write it to a cd or burn it to a pendrive using unetbootin or usb installer.

Okay .. wow.. there must be a back-door/virus in these builds!?!

How can such an UGLY website be the only place to get working 4.2 previews for x86?!

The AOSP 4.2.1 2013-01-24 was a bit portly (182mb) but it ran like a top on my virtual PC and I'm off to try it on the laptop/carpc.

Up until now I'd been running 2.3.7 as it's the only build that would work with everything, but it's getting old fast!

Lappy did NOT boot from it. Much sadness followed and I'm still on the hunt for any 4.x releases that will run on my older `Centrino` class laptop. I'm not expecting full support, I'd be fine with USB blue-tooth, even USB WiFi, all I want for it to do is boot with the CPU/audio/graphics chipset combo I have in the laptop.

It'd be so nice to have it booting droid native vs. only being able to run it in VirtalBox.
