Pen icon in the notification area

I received my new Note 2 today and have a question. Can someone please tell me how to get rid of this icon?

Put your spen back. I'm pretty sure that's the icon for quick Links when the spen is removed

I have done that, it vibrates, and makes the sound when I insert the pen so it is recognizing it as "holstered".

I was messing around with combinations of using the pen. Who knows what I have triggered. I could reboot but want to figure out why this happened.

Just reboot. It's probably just a glitch. I had one today where it kept saying I had a new text, wouldn't go away until areboot
