Dammit. Wish 2degrees would release 4.1.2. Hope it happens soon!

Also do you recommend rooting atm? I bought my pebble blue 32gb during Christmas. Not sure if I should custom kernal as I wanna keep my apps instead of going to a custom rom

I would guess that telecom and 2° will release 4.1.2 update soon as it contains the sds fix. Your 32gb version should not be affected by this though.
Whether to root or not really boils down to personal choice. But if you do I would certainly recommend the kernel in my signature.

Hey corrsea, thanks for your kernel tip. Just a question, in your opinion what are the pros and cons of rooting? On my older phones i have rooted because they were out of date. However the s3 is almost a year old (not my phone but as in the production) and it is still good.

Also would Yank555.lu-V3 kernel work for I9300 with a baseband of XXDLID? (2Degrees 4.1.1)

The major con is that it potentially voids warranty. It also theoretically makes your phone more vulnerable to malicious software.
The major advantage is that it gives you back control of your phone. Not having root is like having a pc with no administrative rights. Like a work computer where the IT dept have locked everything down.
After that it really depends what you want to do.
In my case that means tweaking for battery life and performance, better sound quality, and the ability to theme.

As to XDLID yes it works perfectly.

Just got the Jelly Bean 4.1.2 Update for Galaxy S3 I9300 for 2Degrees!

Model: GT-I9300

Power saving seems to lag a lot more now.
Baseband is I9300XXELLA

sammobile site is down, does anyone know if the 2degrees latest firmware can
be downloaded anywhere else?? I'm rooted etc and not keen on putting kies on my phone either??
