You do realize he says what radio he's using in the post that you quoted right? Its 3.71 (which I think he means 3.17), hooray for reading!

Is gapps device specific? Or if when you Google search it... You find a download, it will work?

Doesn't have to be evita specific?

Well I just dirty flashed the latest nightly of 10.1 coming from CM10 and am definitely not getting the "smoothness" everyone is claiming. Not sure if it's because of the screen tearing or not, but everything feels laggy in comparison to CM10, especially when using a live wallpaper. Also, I have noticed that the icon spacing seems off, kinda all squished together. Do I need to do a clean install?

Does anyone else really need to answer that? Seems self explanatory since everyone else says how fast and smooth it is

i was having wifi hotspot issues whilst tethering, and it seemed the data would just stop when the display turned off, and very slow ping

(and yeah i flashed a new radio, it wasnt the network, was something to do with wifi hotspot tethering)

DONATE TO ME
The LTE-on-by-default patch was merged. It will be in the next nightly (working according to a handful of you with the issue).

i'm going to remove it from the OP as an issue and close the issue in the issue tracker.

Send your thanks to mentwar for that fix (note he also did the original one for CM10!)

I'm a bit confused why the 4.2 ROMs claim 1080p video recording doesn't work - seems to be fine? Only time camera FC'ed on me was when trying a panorama...
