[Q] AT&T Samsung Note II (SGH-I317)

I haven't found much info for this model anywhere. I got this in the mail yesterday. I discovered I had to modify the SIM. No biggie. I also found out that on the Android 4.0 platform that the APN app no longer works. Legality issues being passed the Jan 26th law? I don't know. Having the AT&T model with the Straight Talk SIM I noticed that I can make calls, text, (awaiting mms) had poor signal last night.

1. How can I tell if I'm on a LTE or 4G network?
2. If not, will I have to root or flash anything, if this mod is available.

I understand the 21 vs 42 a little bit. Any information is helpful. Thank You for your time & posts. Greg..

Do a speed test..can get it in play store...and for future, this is general. ..you post questions in questions and answers.

Straight Talk does not do LTE at this time. at&t's hspa+ is pretty fast where I live, so I haven't been much concerned about LTE personally.

If you had LTE it would show under the 4G

I just got all hooked up with Straight Talk and 4G /hspa is more than enough.

Thank you so much COFFEEPR this helped 100%. This is the latest setting and worked perfect in my new phone.



Please Use this configuration:
Go to Setting / More Setting / Mobile Networks /
Access Point Names

Create a new APN and type this, when You finish click save and delete the all APN
