Flashing rooted ROM

Is it possible to flash a rooted ROM without currently having root on the Amaze, all through the ADB commands on the PC?

I cannot see my recovery on the display to complete the EASY operations to get all this completed and have been working on this for at least
6 months. I actually came back to the phone for the challenge.

Something is wrong with my display where I cannot see HBOOT or Recovery and I am getting a basic knowledge of ADB commands understood now.

Can someone put me in the right direction for completing these tasks:

1. Rooting phone
2. Installing ROM either after root or before (if possible, which would then give me root)

These have to be completed solely through ADB commands from the PC......

I will compensate if this is able to be completed.

I have searched and searched google, xda, the universe, and far off distant areas yet unamed and have not reached an answer.
