I have no problems at all with double tapping. I don't use the MT button that much and I have set it up as menu on my One X anyways (long press for MT).

The biggest PLUS however, which many of the guys which are complaining about the missing MT button are ignoring, however is the fact, that the recent apps appear as a 3x3 grid instead of a stupid list (old-school style). This is still way better in my opinion as you can multitask faster.

Default HTC Flagships - One X - Tegra 3 - Mega Information Thread

With Double tap, there are 3 ways of mapping a key: single tap, double tap, long tap (holding)!

Why does it? When your paying a premium you should expect the best. This thing will be priced at about double the nexus 4 which means OEMS have to step up to the plate and get the details right.

Check out the Xperia Z forum. PPL are but hurt over their device getting owned in 1 day.

Funny that ppl are still defending that device.

EDIT:

Did the press not get the One a while ago? Where are the reviews lol?

lets hope it stays that way...a little disappointed as well it uses DDR2 and clearly states it by the way...soon we will tell what is lost in the benchs

comparing dimensions and weight:

One X: 134.36 x 69.9 x 8.9mm, 135 grams
One: 137.4 x 68.2 x 9.3mm, 143 grams

also like we say in my country, it was "low" from Nvidia to announced Tegra 4i in almost the same time, unfortunatly i fully agree with Semiaccurate on this one, its a ridiculous plan B by Nvidia...sigh

But you got to think though at least Nvidia is getting together and built in modem, that is what hurt them and they are addressing it now although too late. 2014 they will be back they should skip or redefine Tegra4 or go straight to work on Tegra5 for 2014, and blow us away.

a double tap isn't as efficient as a button. As i've said earlier HTC have no multitasking key because they opted to put their Logo instead.

You can defend it all you like but it's still wrong. I'll wait for the reviews before judging it, a launch event is just an hour of PR after all.
double tapping home is hardly a deal breaker when they have innovated with almost every aspect of this phone.

Your missing the point. The space which should have been a button is a logo instead. I seen innovation in Camera and possibly audio (Nexus 10 already has this speaker arrangement)

The homescreen is just a giant widget

Don't get me wrong I really like this phone, I think the design is second to none again. But it's always the detail which seem to go a stray with HTC
