Download the stock firmware from samfirmware.com and install it with ODIN prior to returning it.

I don't run CWM, but I think the IR is the only missing feature. Not much of a loss.

That's what you'll see from a normal boot. You'll have to boot into download mode for ODIN to work. There's no reason the drivers with Kies wouldn't work, however. Note that there's a checkbox when you uninstall Kies to leave the drivers installed. That's what you should have done.
