wifi proxy setting in 4.1.1

I hqv serched a lot, bt no success

like ind following img , I do enter d proxy settings. after that the wifi status shows connected. and I get a wifi signal on my notification panel...
bt even with that I can't connect to net or use any app that requires net connection like whatsapp, wechat etc

without entering them nd connecting normally with entering just password , makes the connection status to stop at " obtaining ip address. ."

any suggestions wld b appreciated..
