How do you do this? Thanks.

I did it with my own kernel. There is a thread. Backup everything in your recovery and give it a try.

1. Backup data on thumb drive/micro sdcard/sdcard
2. Have it formatted as NTFS
3. Test reading and writing files to devices
4. Test thumb drive/micro sdcard/sdcard as vfat/fat32

I'll post a custom build here soon with the needed modules and changes to vold, etc. Thanks!

Ok, here is the build: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/11072862/te...IAL-tf700t.zip

If it doesn't mount automatically, please test with this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ll.ntfsmounter

Here is what I've done:

1. Got ntfs-3g building using Android.mk file: http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/30968/
2. Modified vold to use fuse to mount ntfs (Is it working? I have no idea.) http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/32235/
3. Added ntfs-3g to tf700t device tree and have it build from sources using device_tf700t.mk as PRODUCT_PACKAGES http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/32235/

Leave feedback and logs, thank you

Tried this - no dice. The notification bar says 'SD Card is blank or has unsupported file system' and the App crashes when I put the card in. Tried it with SanDisk Mobile Ultra 64GB MicroSD XC1 and Lexar High Speed 32GB MicroSD HC. Both of these work fine with stock and CM10 could read them; CM10.1 can't seem to do that....

Can you try a nightly with the tntfs.ko module installed? Do this:
Code:
su
setprop persist.sampling_profiler 1
Then try to insert the NTFS/exFAT cards in and see if they mount as R/W. Thanks!

Sorry, that's a bit beyond my ken...I wouldn't know where to begin.

Just flash the latest nightly, then run that command from 'Terminal Emulator'. When done, stick your card/stick in that is NTFS and see if it mounts R/W.

EDIT: don't forget to su, see above.

I've just tried that and even if the microSD seems mounted in R/W, i still get only R/O permission with Root Explorer or any other file manager.

I'm getting blank sdcard with ntfs sdcard and usb drive on the unofficial 19th build. On the regular 19th build I can read and copy from ntfs but can't write to it. I did the su command on each build going to try that ntfs mounting software now.
