Don't know if you guys have seen this but it's looking like there's going to be a lot of limitations to what can be done with the developer preview that's going to be on offer, i the video shown you can't even add your own contacts to the people section, it's all sample data.

This is a work in progress. They don't even have most of the core apps ready.

Remember: this preview is for devs, not for end users. So devs can get familiarized with everything and probably test they apps on it.

As I said on another thread, the image will be filled with dummy data. From an article from OMG! Ubuntu! and a interview I made with one of the devs, we won't have many working apps.

Phone, SMS, a preview of the browser and some other stuffs. But most of the core apps aren't ready and won't be on this image.

I was aware of this myself but based on some of the posts in this thread it seemed like some of the guys were expecting a fully functional ROM.

I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of "Ubuntu touch sucks" threads tomorrow, because of this. Sadly, people don't read :/

So if anyone is still thinking you will have a daily driver, forget it.

It will only be ready in October. Mark said Ubuntu 13.10 will be ready to be installed on your PC, tablet and smartphone.

On a side note, I really hope Canonical merge the new interface design to the desktop too. That will probably happen in the next LTS, Ubuntu 14.04.

That's something you can count on. Regardless, I'm anxious to try it on my tablet because, honestly, I like my phone to fully work but I can play on my tablet.
