Super easy, super quick. Very awesome. Call me Flash Gordon from here on out. Question: if I download Roms with my phone onto card, i can flash it with no computer right through TWRP, yeah? Wifi is like 5x faster at my apartment club house, but I have no computer. First timer here, but familiar with Linux, can't wait to really start tinkering.

Yes. Just boot into recovery, wipe data, cache, dalvik cache, & then flash the new ROM file from in TWRP. Reboot. Profit.

Good choice. I'm running Beans too although I'm still on Build 6 because I haven't had any bugs & didn't see the need to flash every version. I will be flashing Build 10 though because it sounds like a lot of features have been added since 6.

Default HELP!

So I ran the Odin step from download mode and I got this error:

<ID:0/004> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/004> Initialzation..
<ID:0/004> Set PIT file..
<ID:0/004> DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
<ID:0/004> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/004> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/004> boot.img
<ID:0/004> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/004> recovery.img
<ID:0/004> tz.img
<ID:0/004> sboot.bin
<ID:0/004> FAIL!
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1

I tried redownloading the bootloader package but I'm getting the same error and now my phone won't boot at all. I get an error message on the phone that there was an error updating the firmware and to use kies in recovery mode. Any advice?

EDIT: I used this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2024207, to flash the ROOT66 Stock VRALJB 4.1.1 via Odin and that got me booting. I then ran the casual exploit which seemed to run fine and then I went on to Suck It and that's where I hit another problem. Odin said "FAIL" but the phone never did anything (stayed in download mode). I was able to turn off and then back on and the phone boots fine. Settings shows build as JRO03C.I605VRALJB and SuperSU is installed in app drawer.

You may want to follow the right thread. You build is jb because you flashed the root 66 but in sure you were ll4 so that's what your boot loader still is.

The 1st thing this forum says (WAY back on page 1) is:
Quote:
"This technique will not work if you have applied the OTA update from 18January2012."
My guess is EVERYONE who is looking to unlock their phone on 12March2013 has had this update...
heck that date was long before i even got my phone... so it likely came pre-loaded!

So, are these instruction (on page 1) still valid or do i have to read 176 pages to find the updated instructions?

Thanks
