I found it on Transformerforums.com in the 300 section searching for "freeze". Found a short thread on a guy playing cards, gin I think, having random crashes and the same fix cited. If this works for most please get the word out!!
Didn't work for me.

I haven't had any issues for 3 weeks already, ever since I had a couple of weeks travel

I hypothesized that absence of problems during the travel had something to do with network/local wifi, but now I'm back home and ok for a week already. So much for the scientific approaches...
Would be funny if I wont have issues ever. Nothing was changed in config, no dev options, just the usual work...

Of course it may be some piece of solder finally falling off some pins during handling
Interesting...
I've wondered at times if poor wifi performance was in some way causing a browser reboot.
Done a few router resets and re-positioned ours just for grins sometime back and haven't had a crash since.
Yet I would have to attribute my tabs stable performance to customization more than anything.

Meanwhile, I registered reboot (though with black screen this time).

29 days, 44.35 hrs active time, 76 standby/active cycles since the recent one.
One week after returning home (and I guess more active usage, network and otherwise).

So, they wound up repairing it for free! I am beside myself. I am not sure what was done. Will report back. In the meantime, I was so ticked off about the whole thing I went out and got a Nexus 7. That thing is schmoove. I love it.

Would be very interesting to hear if the thing was repaired indeed, especially after some time -- will help others to decide what to do with it...

Apparently my device reboots with approx. same "few days" statistics after returning home from my travel.

Got it back! No charge. I think they repaired the creaky screen for starters. Secondly, the only comments regarding the repair was -
"Error after FOTA/firmware update"

The S/N is the same but my Wi-fi MAC is different. I guess they replaced the board. I hope its not a refurb. On to the testing. It is on 4.1.1 and I am reluctant to update it now... I am going to play with it without updating it for 2 weeks or so.

One final note...

I suddenly awoke one night and remembered that my precious 32 G Micro SD card may have been left installed in the tablet. Low and behold it was and they sent it back to me. I am forever grateful. I did have a Titanium Backup folder and 2 TWRP backups on it... ugh. I just got done changing all my passwords. Took about 1 hour. And, no - I don't feel that it was due... LOL

I am happy. Now my gf gets to use the Nexus 7 and she is happy too.

That's the scenario I've been afraid of -- going through the exchange/repair troubles ending up in the same position...

Default Re: Tf700 Random Reboots. Anyone else or just me?

FYI - I've *never* had a random reboot or sleep-of-death with my TF700 (which I've owned since it was released) until the past few days, which I've now had 2 of them.

After thinking about it, I have a feeling that *my* reboots were caused by the TricksterMod app (and/or the settings that I used in the app), which I just recently installed. I've now un-installed the app and will see if the problem returns or not - I will keep you updated as to whether or not the reboots return or not.

Just an FYI...

Thanks.

Well, that was quick! Just happened again while I was actively using the system - screen went black and then I eventually get held the power button in for 10 seconds to force it to restart.

I'm going to post the so many lines of /proc/last_kmsg, just in case someone can help with figuring out what is causing this - it's driving me crazy now...
