4.2.1 Network Issues

Hey guys/gals, I recently decided to try something different than CM 10, so I went with CM 10.1 and PacMan Rom's I absolutely loved each of the Rom's however I noticed that my phone would not connect to my network unless it was in a WiFi area. Outside a WiFi area I was able to receive phone calls and send text messages, however I was unable to receive MMS or go online. Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so can you give me an idea of what to do to fix the problem? Thanks for your time and knowledge!

So after combing through this forum I saw someone say the way to fix this is to install a sense based ROM then install 4.2 Is there any truth in this?

From everything I have read, yes. Has something to do with aosp and sense based roms not getting along. That is why I stay with the sense based until they work the bugs out.

I like the ViperXL 3.2.3 but it is a matter of opinion.
