Requesting gmail 4.2.2 apk for non android 4.2.2 device

Can somebody please post the apk or modify the apk of gmail from android 4.2.2 aka gmail version 4.2.2, that people who do not have 4.2.2 can install over the gmail app that was preinstalled with there devices

There is no 4.2 Gmail, just open the play store and click update. There you go, you have the same Gmail as everyone that has a 4.2 Rom.

Yes there is 4.2.2 version of gmail it was released with android 4.2.2

How can I install it without rooting an removing the gmail apk from the system apps.

Also englishpunk is there a odex file right next to the gmail apk file in the system apps folder.

You do know that the apk will either be glitchy or not work at all right?


To remove the built in gmail you will have to root. No way around it.
