This happened to me yesterday, i think i try to root my 4.1.1 with 4.0.1. That's probably why it turn that way?
I went to samsung-updates .com
Then find your s3 device.
Downloaded the newest firmware
Turn of Phone
Press Volume Down + Home Button + Power Button
Hit Volume Up to go into Recovery Mode
Connect S3
Open Odin
Make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time is selected
Click PDA button
Unzip the file you downloaded
Select the .md5/.tar file
Wait for Odin to recognize the file
Press Start, should take like 10 mins

I can confirm that 7.0 roots the T999UVDLJC. I used option 2 (Flash Insecure Boot Image, Root + Install Busybox). It was a bit frightening to run something that said UVDLJA on it but the friggin' Carrier IQ app got reinstalled and it is draining my battery big time.

I am attempting to root my Smasung Galaxy S3 on T-Mobile. It is stock.
I have the tool kit, and installed everything. It has gone to the part where you exit Odin and waits for the phone to reboot, which it did. But the tool kit has stopped, saying "adbd cannot run as root in production builds". It has been at that point for a few minutes.
What can I do next?

Can I disconnect the usb cable from the pc, as it is still connected, and the tool kit is still running..

Hey all,

If I root using option 2 of the toolkit, would I still be able to use the standard method of doing a factory reset (through Settings menu) and have it work, i.e. I would have a stock, unrooted phone using the latest factory image that was downloaded to the phone during the last OTA update?

EDIT: I'm assuming options 1 & 2 do nothing to the stock recovery- I realize that doing a reset from inside the stock OS with a custom recovery would probably earn me a boot loop.

Trying to use this on my brother's phone.

The phone version is DLJC however the RootKit only shows DLJA

Is this alright?

Unfortunately had troubles using this on a clean DLL1 4.1.1 Wind t999v for a friend. Trying the ALL IN ONE method. Odin looks like it completes ok phone resets, close Odin and then everything fails except busybox install. No root installed or recovery. Any suggestions? Had no problems using the note 2 and nexus 7 versions.
