I need a faster download manager

Hi
I have tried multiple download mangers
But no luck with the speed . On my laptop the download speed most of the times is 1.5 - 2.1 MB/s ; but on my GNex the download speed is very slower than that

Any suggestions ?

Download managers are just a marketing gimmick, don't be fooled by such wares. The only thing that dictates your data transfer speeds is the signal quality and market availability, nothing else.

It's like paying an ISP for a 10mbps connection, no matter what download manager you use, it will never download more than your rated speeds as its controlled on the server-side and not the client-side

Than why my GNex download speed is way slower than my laptop and I use the same Wi-Fi for both ?

If you rooted and u have trinity mod then increase wifi performance and change tcp protocol.

Phones just don't have the download speeds of laptop computers. Smaller cards, less power, etc.

I don't agree. My laptop, tablet and phone generally speedtest about the same on the same wifi network. On both 5 and 2.4 bands.

Sorry, rephrase: in my experience, the phones I have used tend to be slower than the laptops I have used.

So, you all don't use download managers ?
In my laptop I use IDM , and it's very usefull . Is there any download manager similar to IDM in android ?

No download managers here, and I'm sure many others don't. Like I said, don't waste your time and money on managers. You see what you want to see which is why you experience "faster" speeds with managers
