Still seeing it in nova launcher, but it's a definite improvement
Edit: it's only tearing on the dash clock widget, for other widgets there is no visible tearing
Edit: ok lol, I honestly do not know, can't even notice it anymore

What radio are you using? 3.17 doesn't seem to fix the problem, my battery drain is mainly when on 3g, wifi is ok tho. Phone gets really hot on the top when on 3g too
Unlocked At&t HTC One X with CM 10.1

After flashing, it seems that the tearing is almost entirely gone for the most part, however some animations seem to stutter now more than I've previously noticed. In particular opening and closing the app drawer both stutter and don't look very smooth. I went and turned on HW overlays and like someone else said the tearing actually came back, however the app drawer animation was smooth again.

Just something I noticed. Thanks for all your work H8!

Thanks for all your work trying to fix this up h8. It must be frustrating having an issue that is not reproducible on your phone. Unfortunately I am still seeing tearing in ANY application when scrolling vertically. Just go to 'Settings' and scroll up and down, the top and bottom of the screen update at different times and is is very jarring visually. It is particularly noticeable in system menus because of the vertical background gradient.

The effect is slightly reduced with your new boot.img although it is still there.

I'll admit that tearing during vertical scrolling is more subtle than tearing during horizontal scrolling that was fixed with the 19022013 build for me.

I usually don't like to keep cm10 as my daily driver but cm10.1 has been surprisingly well. Try using tasker to toggle 2g when Wi-Fi connected and LTE when disconnected. I was on Wi-Fi all day and got 50 percent juice left with over 2.5 hours of screen on. I also adjust auto brightness settings since the stock values seemed really high.

On another note, will nfc while screen off be implemented on this rom like the viperrom? I really liked that feature but I can't seem to be able to find any threads about it on our device...

Thanks for this great rom! I'm really enjoying it!

Really can't complain with battery life like this. Amazing. No screen tearing.

Not sure what your doing or where to start with your OneXL? Make note of your software version and check out redpoint73's Resource Compilation:

Not sure what root, Adb, hboot, etc. means???? Check the "Am I ready to root?" thread

Just updated to nightly 20130224 and the screen tearing is back, the kernel you posted up earlier is a big improvement over this.

I'll try disabling the HW overlays in the Developer settings. Anyone try this?
I'm actually having this problem with CM10...so are we absolutely sure it's not a app issue?
