Having flashed 18.4 and then rom-cleaned it (no-sense with htc lockscreen),
i've tried to flash neocortex and then the xm kernel (via thunder's tool, both with the respective modules).
Both of them are flashed fine, but it doesn't display the "sim unlock screen",
giving me no network signal.

The strange thing is: when flashing the ARHD kernels again, the screen to unlock appears and everything is working.
What could cause this problem?

Try manually flashing the boot image along with a fastboot erase cache. See the OP for step by step instructions.
