I'm not sure. I'm new to this party. Should I find an old copy of the inverts & give 'er a shot?

Look in op and download the old ones but don't flash it just extract the contacts.apk from it put it in system/apps reboot to recovery and fix permissions... You could try the same for MMS.apk

For aokp they should both work

Yeap, and it would FC the moment I expanded any contact from the list. I also cleaned the Phone Contact Storage and redownloaded it from the Google's Servers and it would still give me FC. So I went back to a 4.1.2 Inverted contacts. It's not bad, but I just wish to have the correct one.

I don't even known if this would be possible, but it would be cool to have an invert of the XDA app or a dark themed. I find the app really bright compared to all of the other black ones that comes with the gapps.

Is it possible?

Hit that fifth option at the top of the XDA app labeled "more." Go into the settings and the first option will be labeled "display style." Choose the dark option and you'll be very happy

Oh my. I have never noticed that before. I am now happier than a pig in poop. Thank you very, very much for leading me in the right direction.

I know how you feel. I didn't realize it was an option for quite some time when I first started using it.
