Just let you know guys i went from 1.2 to 1.7 upgrade no wipe and everything is working perfectly.

Yes Android logo (Black Screen). .i 'm not sure how long
but i try reoot recovery and wipe once more

Sounds like wipe is not actually happening. Did you wipe within CWM/Philz and also manually wipe SYSTEM Dir?
