Re: [ROM][4.2.2] AOKP MR1 Kang Project - d2tmo

Rock on! Thanks man. Good to know. Next DSP manager

Sent from my dark hole called an office.

Hey man, I found no option to set transparency in ROM control :D and a suggestion, Sony walkman eq is much better than DSP IMO ;)
Edit: pardon me I found it lol

That looks like the hookup I was looking for. I've got a t-mobile SGH-T999...do you happen to know if this is the kernel that will work on mine:

http://imoseyon.host4droid.com/s3/aosp/exp/lk_s3att_aosp_jb42-v2.7exp1.zip

***Update***
I found this file for lean kernel: http://imoseyon.host4droid.com/s3/aosp/_README
It's contents are simple and short, but very helpful:

Make sure you flash the correct version!

usc = US Cellular
att = AT&T and T-Mobile
vzw = Verizon
spr = Sprint

--imoseyon

The lean kernel downloads are listed here, and it seems that version 2.7 has graduated from it's "exp" state:

http://imoseyon.host4droid.com/s3/aosp/#!/view=details/lang=en/sort=na

I just downloaded and flashed this 2.7 kernel: http://imoseyon.host4droid.com/s3/aosp/lk_s3att_aosp_jb42-v2.7.zip

It booted fine, so it looks like I'm in business on lean kernel 2.7.

The folder I linked are the experimental kernels while the one you posted are to the stable builds. However, imoseyon doesn't increment them as you've described. As 2.7 is considered stable, he will add experimental builds upon (2.7exp1, etc.) that until he deems it stable enough to call it 2.8.

Sorry to hijack your thread jamison. Back on topic.

Every time I flash a kernel or fix permissions in recovery, some of my Google apps need updated. Any idea why they aren't staying updated? I've attached a screenshot to show what I'm talking about. Thanks!

Mine does the same, thought it was normal? also is it me or does it seem as if the camera is better on tw ROMs instead of aosp ROMs?

PS. Keep up the good work

Love the Rom. Nice work.

It seems like the call volume and speaker phone volume are way lower than my last aokp 4.1 Rom that I came from.. Is there a fix for this? The sound boosters in the market don't seem to work.

This is a lot more solid than when I tried AOKP 4.2.1 MR1 build 3, so thanks! The ring & notification tones seem to be distorted a tiny bit. Unsure if this is because of too much input (audio source vol little too high), or too much output (speaker volume set a little too high)...

Otherwise, great job... and thanks for supporting the t999

seems like the overall memory usage is a little higher in 4.2.2 builds than in previous versions of Android. Guessing it is just the new stuff added in AOSP?

You will need to wipe and do q full install. There were some minor changes in the ROM control app. This will cause issues every time without a wipe. :cool:

I’m trying to flash the feb 24 version but can’t copy it to my device. It says the device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected.

    RULES:

    Before you start using this rom here are some things you need to know:

    1. I am NOT updating every day (I work 6 days a week and have a 21 month old)...

    2. Don't ask for ETA, this is rude and offensive. When it is done it is done.

    3. Custom Roms come without warranty. They are tested before release but something always can go bad. So if you broke your phone or you got fired because the alarm didn't go off - I am not responsible.

    4. Support is limited. Sometimes I can answer your questions sometimes I don't have the time. There will be times I don't have an answer so please do no repeat your question or get offended because I haven't answered you.

    5. Don't compare ROMs. It is rude and offensive for chefs. If the other rom has what you need, use that ROM.

    6. Don't Kang my work. You may fool everyone else but I will know! If you want to use something just ask!

    7. If you like my work, a five star thread rating and hitting the thanks button motivates me. :cool:

    8. No flaming! We have all been a NoOb before. We are here to help each other.

    Code:
    #include
    /*
    * Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    */

    By using the rom you agree with the above terms!

    First off I want to thank the guys over at AOKP for all their hard work and dedication to open source and bring us the bleeding edge of technically. Not much I can really say about this one. This is built right from AOKP MR1 (4.2.2) source for the d2tmo. This is a "kang" project, meaning it is unofficial and will have a lot more of my input versus the official builds. Enjoy and if you would like to help me contribute let me know!

    KINETIC AOKP KERNEL™

    This kernel will work for AOKP/AOSP/CM10.1 basically for all new 4.2 AOSP based ROMs.

    Also just a warning. LTS1 - LTS2 is not compatible with Kinetic AOKP Kernel. Only builds equal to or newer then April 30th are compatible.

    Great widget to control fast charge Fast charge widget ply store link

    Also another must have app! Full control over your phone and kernel for free! Trickster Mod Kernel settings

    What is fast charge:

    This allows one to force AC charging for any charger that is detected as USB (e.g. many car chargers) and pull the full current the charger can support. Without Fast charge, when connected to the computer or even car charger you will very low current causing the charge time to be a lot longer. With fast charge active the current is set to the max allowed (and/or safest) and charging time will reduce greatly. It also provides additional security when connecting to public charging stations because by forcing AC charging, USB/adb data transfers are disabled, protecting your data. When fast charge is active you will not be able to access your data on your device. You will need to turn fast charge off to access them. Hope this helps everyone understand it more.

    How to install:
    • Flash the kernel
    • Clear cache and dalvik cache.
    • Reboot
