Hey thanks for the compliment. I want to respond to a couple of concerns you have, first the screen sensitivity issue you have. It's unlikely that your digitizer is damaged, it either works or doesn't work. Recent glass coming out of China is counterfeit low quality glass. It is certainly possible that you got a piece of this type of glass where it's not as smooth to the touch and it also affects sensitivity levels creating dead spots.

Second if you have an issue with the dust infiltrating into the viewing area it's possible the seal at the bottom is not complete. This really is the only area that dust can get in. There is a piece of protective plastic covering on top of the ribbon cable that attaches to the LCD so this can make your seal faulty. So what you need to do is make sure you build it up high enough so that it creates an even seal against the inside of the glass. Recently I started putting another layer below the bottom of the rectangle, so it becomes 4 millimeters wide instead of just the 2 millimeter strip. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the fast reply I probably will try the 4mm border soon. Just a quick question though, would you recommend a glass retailer which satisfied you, or is it really hit and miss? I did notice that the glass I received (pebble blue) was a tad bit darker than the original, but I was impatient to go through with the process, otherwise I would've had to wait for another month and a half. Thanks again and cheers from Bulgaria

There are 2 that have satisfied me in the past but not exactly sure what they are shipping now. I just bought a few peices from the first link but haven't gotten them yet. He/She assures me it is top quality original glass, but I've been told that before... Good luck.

some intresting reading aboud LOCA and OCA
henkelna. com/us/content_data/275690_Exhibitors_Forum_abstract.pdf
fuk .co.jp/chinese/technology/images/dl_up_to_date.pdf
en. wikipedia.org/ wiki/Liquid_optically-clear_adhesive
w w w .sidmembers. org/idonline/article.cfm?year=2011&issue=05&file=art6
w w w .threebond.co.jp/en/technical/technicalnews/pdf/tech74.pdf

looks like its possible DIY in both cases, but LOCA seams to be easier way, cause it doesn't bond instantly then glass goes on, so if theres any air bubbles its possible to remove glass and start again. i like the idea of "dam" made from double side tape but i would make overfill area next to "dam" so over left of LOCA will move to that overfill area then glass will be placed on and pressed
hope its possible to understand my thoughs, English not my native language

Yes I've read those too. The whole problem is getting the product, there doesn't seem to be a place we could buy it at low enough quantity make it even affordable.

What's the lowest quantity and price that you've found?

That doesn't sound too high. I might be interested in buying them if the price isn't too bad. Do you have a link for the supplier?
