Default Need Help With WIFI Purchase...

So I was thinking if going top of the line, and what I see is the Net gear R6300 WIFI router and th Lynksis AC 1750 wireless router. The both cost the same, but beyond that I'm lost. Can anyone help me decide?

Well Both of Them are pretty much a good amount of money wasted. Whats your Internet connection`s speed?

Also I would recommend the RT-56U Its both 2.4 and 5ghz dual band its the best one I`ve came across that has not been a break in the bank. I would just stay away from D-Link. If you want to stick to a big brand I Guess I would recommend the Linksys E3200 even though its kinda low end, The E4200 has had a good amount of problems.

Ok here thebdea, I got both of them for a birthday present and I need on of them, so I'm gonna sell one of them and keep with one? Or should I sell both and get a downgraded model?

More questions: Are you using this router for more than just Wi-Fi (data transfers, media streams/shares to home entertainment devices like XBox, AppleTV, PlayStation, etc)? Would you be pissed if you decided to get AC Networked devices and find that you only have an N router in the future? Is money no object? Are you going to run any hardwires to your router for said data transfers/media streams/shares?

If yes to any of these (except for the last question... that would be fine with any gigabit wired router), go for broke. If not, go with the cheaper-now options.

Thanks for all the replies, I'm gonna sell then both and downgrade to the above suggested router. All I use it for is wifi anyhow.
