the latest nightly comes with a kernel which is using mali r3p1 driver and the system comes with mali r3p1 libraries.
if those don't match you get a black screen.
nearly all custom kernels are not updated yet and use r3p0 which means missmatch -> black screen.

Cheers @codeworkx for looking into it.
I have attached the logcat from the last nightly before (24) as this was the last to boot from black into a workable screen. If you need anything else, no problem.

restart device with 24 and grab the log as fast as possible via adb logcat.
