New firmware update is available..
I'm on rooted device and uninstalled some usless samsung apps.
Now I'm getting error at 25% while updating firmware. Means can't update firmware.
Can we update firmware of rooted device?
If yes what might be the problem with my device.

You will need to change the kernel and remove the super user app.
You may use the nanddroid backup taken before procedding for root procedure.

Hey forum!
[*]Make sure you are running XXALJ4 as base ROM. If you are not, go here to find out how to flash XXALJ4 version before proceeding.
I have downloaded the XXALJ4 file[2 times] from that site, but inside i can
only find the MD5 file named
S7562XXALJ4_S7562OLBALH5_S7562DXLJ3_HOME.tar.md5 and 1 dll file. There
is no other file such CODE..., MODEM ...,CSC ...
What to do...?
i downloaded...yes approx. 500 mbClick on ‘PDA’ and select file with ‘CODE’ in its name. "S7562XXALJ4_S7562OLBALH5_S7562DXLJ3_HOME" size approximate 500 mb
i think no need to use the dll file i did not use it
try
i downloaded...yes approx. 500 mb
but when i extract it i found only these files...
1. S7562XXALJ4_S7562OLBALH5_S7562DXLJ3_HOME.tar.md5
2. SS_DL.dll
After installing this successfully, when I tried to place a call the network disappears. No idea why this happened to me. Before placing the call the network was there.
open the odin and click on pda and select the first file
S7562XXALJ4_S7562OLBALH5_S7562DXLJ3_HOME.tar.md5
bug confirmed
Signal lost and call problems on *some* devices - Reported by multiple ROM users. Seems to happen only in some areas and might be related to CSC or the modem version being used. I have no way of testing this and might take some time to find a fix because of this. I am considering moving to a new base and see if this fixes the problem. Might also be kernel-related...
