Newman N1 Custom ROMs

Android 4.0.4 (ICS) custom based on gommers ROM

Release 2013-01-12 (SDCard update)
  • Added latest version of Google apps
  • Added "ESTaskManager", "ESFileExplorer", "RootExplorer"...
  • Added Reboot and Reboot to Recovery options to power menu
  • Added battery percentage (in steps of 1%)
  • Added AdFree hosts to system hosts file (blocks ads in several applications and games)
  • Added init.d support with build.prop switch (sys.initd=on)
  • Updated Timezone data
  • Updated APN list
  • Root & Busybox
  • Green Led only when battery is at 100%
  • CID fix (caller ID bug) - Thanks to bgcngm
  • Hide Red X icon for no SIM inserted - Thanks to bgcngm

Release 2013-04-27 > Custom based on official release N1v2.0.2 (SDCard update)
  • Fixed "Settings>Date and Time" crash
  • Fixed Green Led only when battery is charged at 100%
  • Fixed CID bug (caller ID bug)
  • Updated Timezone data
  • Replaced stock DeskClock.apk by DesKClockGoogle.apk
  • Added "Engineer Mode" in "Settings>Developer Options"
  • Added "Custom build version" in "Settings>About phone"
  • Added Reboot and Reboot to Recovery options to power menu
  • Added battery percentage (in steps of 1%)
  • Added init.d support with build.prop switch (sys.initd=on)
  • Added Root & Busybox
  • Added latest version of Google apps
  • Added "MTK6577 CPU Governor Switcher", "ESTaskManager", "ESFileExplorer", "RootExplorer"...

Newman N1 - Patches and Mods for JB 4.1.1 ROM

GPS Fix problem (SDCard update)

My ROMs include gps.conf file for Europe NTP time server.
If you have problems with GPS fix try one of the following patches depending of your country.

Africa
Asia
Europe (included in my ROMs)
North America
Oceania
South America
Other (general by Ryuinferno - original post)

Pulse Notification Light (SDCard update)

New "Pulse Notification Light" option in Settings>Display.
This Mod only works with release 2013-04-27.

Option checked: Notification light blinks on new notifications.
Option unchecked: Notification light is fixed on new notifications.

Flashed it, led notification still not working correctly.

Here some things to consider

GPS without A-GPS take long time
Phone Memory Partitions can't be changed
Sounds Settings can't be changed

Any suggestion???

I have no problem with GPS. My GPS fix after few seconds.
Try this:
1. Turn AGPS on and download AGPS data then turn AGPS off.
2. Turn GPS EPO on and download GPS EPO data then turn GPS EPO off.
3. Test GPS (with AGPS and GPS EPO off)

    Make backup of vold.fstab in /system/etc/. Then replace it with the one in my post, set permissions and reboot.
    It will switch phone memory and sd card and hide 16mb so it will not be visible by system.
