If you go into sound/adapt sounds, put some buds on and go through the adapt sound test. Music sounds even cleaner. I have no more cracking ever since using this kernel! Faux is amazing and we're Damn lucky he owns a galaxy s4

What's wrong with this source?
It's under a Samsung proprietary license and should not be publicly available; they can send cease and desist letters to whoever uses it and DMCA take-downs to whoever hosts it. Microsoft holds patents/licences on it so it either come from them or Samsung.

As for the code itself, it's version 1.1.0p2 which was the one bundled with the S3 and Note 2's and running on a 3.0 kernel. The version for the S4 shows 1.2.3 and works on 3.4. I don't know if you can compile it nevertheless, but the legal ramifications aren't worth it.

My device ID is fjltexx. The phone is from Vodafone Ireland. I don't see it mentioned on the op page. Is it yet another ID or like the supported fjlteur or the still unsupported fjltexxx version?

Your kernel is working great on my european GS4. :)

For fun I tried to compile the european update-1 sources from Samsung.
I did everything according to the README_Kernel.txt. It compiles without errors, but when I flash it, there is No Sound and No SIM.

Yours is working fine, so is there something I missed?

Can you help me?

I wish I was that brave. Great to see people who will experiment. Please post if you are successful.
