MT6589 / MTK6589 Chinese phones
There's a whole stack of chinese phones available using the Mediatek SOC MT6589. Big chinese manufacturers like: Huawei, Jiayu, Lenovo, Meox, THL, ZTE.
And other manufacturers like: Big Cola, CoolPad, Ginoee GooPhone, Koobee, Mogu, Newman, Neo, Ou Sheng, TCL, Umi, ZoPhone, Zopo.
Personally, I'm interested in the THL W100 (an incredible MT6589 1.2Ghz quad core 4.5" IPS that ships with android 4.2 for just $143 including postage to the UK on aliexpress), but I see no reason why it should get it's own forum. Let's spread the love, these chinese phones typically have very similar specifications! MTK6589 support for everyone!

SC-04E or in other words the Samsung Galaxy S4 for NTT Docomo in Japan....the fact that the phone itself is essentially different from the international and US variants...even though it includes the same Snapdragon 600, things such as the bootloader and kernel are very different....most if not all the variants have received a root/unlock/custom recovery of some sort....this phone hasnt due to an as yet determined difference hiding in there...There is a strong following for English support and development for phones such as this....we worked hard on creating a thread for the SC-06D which is the Japanese version of the Galaxy S3...and just having a supported forum as a one stop place for the SC-04E would be great...we work hard to try and contact the Japanese developers and translate instructions to the best of our abilities....heck we even tried to get Chainfire involve on the rooting process and his attempts so far havent worked, hell have to make time to further look at....thats just another example of how this phone is unique...even the tv antenna that comes out the top i havent seen on many of the variants at all...so could you guys give us a hand creating a specific forum for this awesome variant....

I don't understand it either. I mean, with all due respect, development is in progress for the device (I'm involved in it too; I'll launch a new Los build in the next few days). XDA is a great place for discussion and to show such progress (and also to incentivate it). We have other threads opened recently for devices which don't have any development at all (for instance, the X6 Pro, x6 neo, etc).There's a forum for development if a device doesn't have a dedicated thread yet:

So, you might want to consider to encourage the developers you know to post their work there.
Our forum administrator addressed his stance just about 6 weeks ago in this thread:
In any case, I will add posts in the indicated sections about the development I am undertaking if necessary.

126Android Car Stereo Radio Head Units
There are multiple devices in this category that seem to be served by a couple of monolithic threads that currently try to cover all the topics related to them. The two main categories of device seem to be HuiFei devices serviced by this thread (currently 9118 posts) and the AN-21 U devices by this thread (currently 6484 posts). Both devices ideally would have their own sub-forum as they are quite distinct development wise however a "Android Car Stereo Radio Head Units" forum would be a substantial improvement.
