Anyone that reverted to 4.2.2 have issues. Mine bootlooped when went back to latest nightly. Reflashed 4.3 loaded fine. Am I missing something?

I just switched to the Note 2 from the Galaxy Nexus and I'm thinking about putting CM on the phone. Besides the audio issue are there any other major bugs on CM 10.1?
Some folks have issues with BT and GPS, the only thing that I experience on the AOSP roms for the Note 2 is graphic artifacts, it's not as smooth as it is on the G Nex but if you're like most cats then the artifacts won't bother ya and most AOSP roms are well worth being DD's

CM 10.2 is running good for me. Tethering works fine, and I get the fastest GPS lock ever.

Observations on issues for me:

-Voice commands via Bluetooth still not functional.
-Screen blacks out on browser, comes back if I touch it.
-On two apps (Weather bug & Fox news) screen blacks out, just adds remain visible, then comes back, then off and on. I am guessing this may be related to app incomparability with Android 4.3?

Update: I have been running 10.2 since slick_rick shared it here.

It is stable enough for me to use as my daily driver. I am very pleased with the functionality and aside from the occasional camera hiccup I plan to continue using it.

No major fc's or problems to report.

As stated in slick_rick's post... that I may have overlooked the first time... lol

Derp: Unable to take screenshots in this build. :confused:

"Couldn't capture screenshot."
"Couldn't save screenshot. Storage may be in use."

At first I had it hooked up to my pc via usb cable. So I unplugged it, tried again with same alert in the status bar. Thought I would reboot and try again - no go.

Going to look into it.

I know it's early but it seems, like others are saying as well, battery life has really improved with 4.3, especially idle time. This is still the first cycle. Charged to 100% and flashed. Very very pleased with this build.

I'll be starting a cm10.2 thread shortly. For anyone thinking of flashing back to 10.1, not going to happen unless you do a clean install so backup first! A couple databases were updated and cannot be reverted.

Hi Scott,

As always, thank you for your work in bringing CyanogenMod to the i605. Despite Samsung's refusal to provide the source for Exnos, it works great. Very grateful to you and the many developers who do this kind of work.

As 10.2 takes the front stage, will there be continued work on 10.1, or will that work be merged with 10.2 and then continued from there? I don't mean to push one way or the other; it simply would help in the decision between jumping to CM 10.2 now or sticking with 10.1 for a while longer.

In any case, thank you again.

peace,
Fr. Maurer

personally I would stick with 10.1 (nightlies should continue) until we can get a hold of mali gpu blobs appropriate for 4.3. 10.2 isn't exactly stable on our platform until then and you'll run into annoyances as some of you have seen. (i.e. black screens, squished icons...) if you want bleeding edge and can overlook these things then 10.2 is the way to go. I haven't commited to it daily on my note 2 yet

Obviously I'm not Scott but typically development will be concentrated on 10.2 going forward. However, typically features and fixes are backported where possible.

Thanks for the quick response!

I'm inclined to stick with 10.1 for as long as possible (ie, until 10.2 has a fairly stable track record). Bleeding edge is great, but that's what the Nexus line is for!

    CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.2 (JB), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
    Code:
    #include
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
     *
     * Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading
     * cause of male impotence.
     */

    CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

    All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    ---------- Post added at 07:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:26 PM ----------

    Progress is being made. My 10.2 builds are compiling OK now. I can flash and boot to the homescreen but anything I try to launch causes a soft reboot.
    Mine do the same and I have no cell signal. I think I messed up loading the props. Let me know if you make any progress or maybe slickrick will shine some light on the subject
    Pick these 4 commits and you should be good.

    Thank you sbrissen for developing for this awesome device and all of our donators who made it possible! None of this would have happened without you guys :)

    You will lose S Pen and other Touchwiz functionality if you flash this but here is how you can get some of that functionality back!
    1. S Pen works (try out the app Papyrus as a replacement to S Note, Papyrus does utilize the S Pen button as well).
    2. Air View works (Go to settings, Language & input, check "Show icon when using stylus".
    3. The S Pen button works (Go to settings, Language & input, Stylus gestures, those all use the s pen button).
    4. Pop up browser = OverSkreen from the Google Play Store.
    5. I use the 4.2 Camera on Touchwiz anyway. There are plenty of good camera apps in the market if you want more features.
    6. Multiwindow. There is no alternative, dont ask.
    And here's some alternatives to Touchwiz apps (PM me if you want me to add something!)
    Code:
    [URL="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.myboyfriendisageek.stickit"]Stick it! (Pop-up Player)[/URL]
    [URL="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.clov4r.android.nil&hl=en"]MoboPlayer[/URL]- It's another very capable, free video player with floating player functionality. Plus its free!

    DO NOT USE 20121011 GAPPS OR YOU WILL HAVE ISSUES, USE 20121212 GAPPS.

    If you want to downgrade back to a 4.1.x ROM, flash the restore-sdcard-after-downgrade.zip attached below AFTER flashing back to 4.1.x ROM. Your storage situation will be how it was pre-CM10.1 flash. Thanks to madmack for the file.

    alright, I'm good with the phone logs. I submitted a change for speaker phone and it got merged so tonight's should have MOAR VOLUMEZ on speaker.

    Still working on BT and gps.

    and still looking for logs of apps where the mic isn't working.
