[Q] Stuck at HTC logo after flashing CM 10.1 ROM
I know this is a pretty common problem, but I think I did everything that people suggest to fix the problem, and it still did not help.
Here's the situation:
I've used a few 4.0.4. Sense ROMs + MIUI 4.0.4 with success, although battery life was crap, so I finally installed 4.0.4. official RUU from HTC and used it for some time.
Now I wanted to try CM 10.1 (4.2.2) ROM from blindndumb (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...?t=2305828),so
I did these:
- unlocked with HTCDev
- flashed 4EXT
- full wipe + dalvik + cache
- flashed the ROM (no errors)
- flashed dedicated GApps
- flashed the CM 10.1 ROM kernel from fastboot
While booting - the phone is stuc at HTC logo for 20 minutes (too long). So I've started googling and found this may be because hardware - display provider may be Hitachi. As I've had my phone not bootable (stuck at the logo) - I could not check for manufacturer - so I've flashed MDDI kernel for my saga anyways. This didn't help and made things even worse - the phone restarts after 2 minutes of HTC logo on screen. Doing all the steps again did not help either.
I know people usually forget to flash new kernel after flashing a ROM, but I did this. Even the MDDI kernel - no success still.
Reverted back to RUU 4.0.4. but I want to try CM/JB 4.2 so badly on my saga...
Do you have more ideas what could be wrong? I did not have such problems with any of ICS ROMs I've tried...
