credit to ddv2005 for having a brain:

you don't need wlanadb. Just do what ddv said. When the phone is connected switch it to Internet connection --- ethernet. ADB works from usb.

i can confirm root aslo, and i am verizon i didnt use wireless though. it just worked over usb.

Yup, just be sure to install the driver package that is located on the virtual installation drive of teh phone when you first plug it in.
browse the drive and install the \tools\LG VZW_United_WHQL_v2.11.1.msi file
