[Q] MD5 mismatch without nandroid.md5 in my backup folder
So I'll start at the beginning. I have a Alpharev Data++ hboot with a data++ compatible CM10.1 VJ Data++ ROM running and I wanted to tinker around with the development settings (to see if I could make graphics performance a little better) and i stumbled across something along the lines of simulate second screen. So i clicked on it chose the lowest resolution number on it and waited for some magic to happen!! It didn't -_-. My phone froze for about 30 mins which is when I pulled the plug on it. Tried to reboot and froze on the cyanogen mod spinning circle boot sequence. Did this a few times all frozen at the same stage. So I thought that maybe it was messed up so I went into recovery and backed my system up. It all backed up successfully (or so I thought). I went ahead and wiped data, cache, dalvik cache etc. basically wiped everything. Then when i went to restore my backup......"MD5 mismatch"!!! Tried it again..and again and again but still the same.
So i looked it up and people were talking about how you have to delete the contents of the "nandroid.md5" file in the backup folder. But when I checked my backup folder, nothing was there. The only files in there were the following: android_secure.vf; boot.img; data.yaffs2.img; recovery.img and system.yaffs2.img. No nandroid.md5. I have another backup with the my stock system and that contains nandroid.md5 but this one doesn't.
Can anyone suggest a way to overcome this problem or will I have to just flash the ROM again and start from scratch.
Thanks for any help
