gtalk & AIM integration

Does anyone have a better way to integrate AIM into gtalk for best push IM results on the android found on:

My AIM contact's status doesn't show up correctly when using digsby on my home machine. I tried using the "sign in to AIM" feature found on the web interface, but it doesn't seem to carry the contacts over to the phone.
