I'd always choose the Note for the simple fact that it has what i need and for these reasons:
1. SPen - I take a lot of notes during meetings which includes complex diagrams and charts. I also draw and sketch a lot everyday. The Note gives me almost the same experience as using the Cintique at the office without buying an expensive 3rd party stylus which i have to worry if the battery is still charged on it or not.
2. File Mangement - I need to move a lot of files around quite frequently within the device or to and fro on an external USB storage.
3, Expandable Storage - I carry a lot of my movies and documents with me when i travel. Cloud storage just isn't a reliable solution since some of the places i go to doesn't even have internet connection. I also don't like the idea of leaving my files with some company even if they say it's safe and secure.
4. Widgets - I don't like the idea of going through apps to find the calendar just to quickly look at my work schedule and tasks for the month. I like all my calendar and monthly task information big, easily seen and accessible.
5. Customization - I like to set up my tablet the way i want it to look and work based on my needs personally and professionally. And to feed my inner geek for modding when the mood hits me.
Since these are things the iPad doesn't offer, i don't buy it. I had an iPad before and found it too restrictive and limited. iPad zealots can boast that there are lots of productivity apps for it but apps won't help me since the features i need are either native to Android or are mechanical features inherent to the device. Although i don't take it against people who prefer Apple's products simply because they probably don't use tablets the way i use them.
Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats. ~ Howard Aiken
