Default Bricked LG Optimus G e975

Hi,

Accidentally bricked my phone on the start screen in the top left corner it says "Secure booting Error! Cause: boot certification verifiy". I think i forgot to unlock the bootloader, missed that step when searching online. Anyway, I tried getting it into download mode following the instructions in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2010624 without success. I can't even get into download mode using the instructions in that thread. Any ideas? Or is it really dead?

Thanks in advance.

Ok, finally did get it into download mode. Are the instructions in the thread mentioned above still up to date?

Problem solved. Had a few problems with the flashing application as it apparently always crashes on Windows 8 but found a Windows 7 pc and it worked perfectly.
