Unhappy Help needed with using a USB bluetooth dongle on Nexus 7 (2013)

I'm not even sure where to start with this one... more questions than answers have come about.

I've tried to connect a Class 1 USB bluetooth dongle to my Nexus 7 (2013) which has CM10.2 installed.

dmesg shows something about the dongle when it's connected, however I can't check lsmod because it reports /proc/modules does not exist.

I'm not sure whether I should add this to my fstab.flo file:
Code:
proc /proc proc rw,relatime 0 0
... as I am able to get a /proc listing, it's just that 'modules' isn't there.

My assumption was that CM10.2 would allow greater flexibility to so what I'm trying to do, but it seems not.

Is there something else I should do to configure my device to use the bluetooth dongle in host mode?

thanks.
